Environmental Monitoring (PM - 10)

Micomo adapted a device that has a sensor that measures particles PM10, this equipment is based on the principle to send a laser light which disperses in the presence of particles, and then know the quantity of them in the atmosphere.

Micomo has an online monitoring system for PM10 and meteorological variables - scalable to other pollution agents. PM10 sensor is a device that measures the concentration of particles of 10 micrometers measuring the light dispersion produced by these particles.   

This online environmental monitoring system is a tool to determine the level of pollution produced by particulate material. It was designed to work in highly concentrated zones and under extreme conditions, very typical in mining environments. 

Monitoring can work together with a PM10 environmental impact forecast system. Which is based on phenomenological models - transport of particles, winds and energy equations - to deliver meteorological forecast (cells precision of 1×1 km2) and impact of PM10 (cells precision of 300×300 m2) up to 72 hours in advance, considering production plan in order to make decisions to mitigate the environmental impact.
