Partnerships
Micomo has built partnerships and collaborative work agreements with a talented network of people, organizations and research centers located in Australia, India, Japan, United States, and Chile.
A key element to innovate, research and develop new technologies that meet the needs of the mining and productive industry is to work in partnership with renowned specialist in different fields.
These valuable partnerships have involved working with public, private and government institutions, allowing for the development of innovations with a clear demand and use.
NTT´s research and development laboratories include over 3000 researchers with a doctorate or a higher degree and a budget of US$ 2.3 billions to produce innovations in information and communications. This collaboration has been fundamental in the adaptation process of environmental monitoring and structural deformation technologies, as well as to improve Micomo’s technological services.
In addition, Universidad de Chile is another important collaborator, specially the Center for Mathematical Modeling; the Departments of Geophysics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. We are working intensely to build and design mathematical models to monitor structural deformations and to monitor, simulate and predict environmental impact.
Micomo is currently preparing a partnership agreement with the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria to carry out educational and operational work in theoretical and experimental fields such as wireless networks, photonics and air pollution quality.
Together with the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), we have explored the development of new Business opportunities abroad.
Our most recent partnership is with AcuMine a company belonging to Australia´s Cooperative Research Centres (CRC), with whom we have explored joint technologies to expand market opportunities.
We have also strengthened our ties with the private sector in Chile, and have been developing joint initiatives with companies such as Kairos Mining, MIRS Robotics, Contac Ingenieros, Zañartu Innovacion, and ABB Chile.
